Privacy Policy
Localendar curates Austin event calendars you can subscribe to. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run the service — here’s exactly what that is and how it’s used.
Information we collect
- Account info. When you sign in with Google (via Firebase Authentication), we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier. We use these to create and identify your account.
- Subscription info. Premium payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we keep only a Stripe customer ID and your subscription status (active, canceled, renewal date).
- Feed tokens. We generate a random token that links your private calendar URL to your account. It contains no personal information and can be regenerated or revoked at any time.
- Technical data. Standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) are processed by our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To authenticate you and provide your calendars.
- To create, gate, and refresh your subscribed feeds.
- To manage billing and your subscription status.
- To communicate with you about your account or the service.
Service providers
We share data only with the processors needed to operate Localendar:
- Google Firebase — authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and our database.
Event details in our calendars are aggregated from publicly available venue and listing websites. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser storage only to keep you signed in (Firebase authentication tokens). We don’t use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can revoke your feed link any time from your dashboard, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing hello@localendar.me.
Security
Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Premium feeds are protected by unguessable tokens you control. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit what we collect.
Children
Localendar isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, do our best to notify you.
